In this video, we will show you how you can send a secure activity link to students without the need for them to sign in to EdPlace. Please note, this is for paid teacher and tutor accounts only.
Further information for tutors:
If you are planning to utilise this functionality with new or prospective students as part of your tutor business growth, we advise that you do so in one of two ways:
- Option 1 - Set up each prospective student with their own account based on the personal info you have available (you can always add to this later if required). If they do not become a regular tutoring client, you can simply deactivate their account when you become aware of this, freeing up their access so that you can use this license with another current or prospective student. (For more information on activating and deactivating student accounts, click here as a tutor or here as a teacher.) As all secure links expire 30 days after their creation, you can rest assured that any prospective students will not have ongoing access to this activity or their previous EdPlace account;
- Option 2 - Allocate a specific number of your student licenses (based on the size of your business and sales outreach) as 'demo' accounts. You can label these students as 'Demo 1', 'Demo 2', 'Demo 3', etc. and assign any activities you wish to use with prospective students here. Please bear in mind that as links remain active for 30 days, it is likely that you will need to use some sort of recording system to ensure that this is managed effectively, as you will not have any specific student names to help you link completed activities back to your prospective students.
