Empowering students to use EdPlace outside of the classroom is a fantastic way to maximise their achievements in the time they spend in classes with you. EdPlace activities provide a simple solution to providing relevant activities for independent study, targeted intervention and homework assignments. The free teacher account enables you to gift unrestricted access to five students that you believe would benefit from this the most. Please click here for more information about these accounts designed to support disadvantaged students. For these students, it's easy to set relevant activities to complete outside of class or in the holidays.
Your free teacher account also allows 30 students unlimited access to EdPlace activities during school hours (9 am to 3 pm). If you would like all of these students to also have unlimited access, there are two ways to go about this:
- Every attached parent sign up to your school results in additional free unlimited places for your class, allowing more students to access EdPlace for free outside of school hours. So why not promote EdPlace to your parents and at the same time be able to award unrestricted access to more students who would most benefit? To learn more about our reward programme for teachers, please click here;
- It is also possible to upgrade from a free teacher account to a paid teacher account. Click here to read more about our flexible pricing options or contact our helpful Customer Support team for more information or a bespoken quote.
It is easy to track every one of your student's individual achievements on EdPlace, including those activities completed with you in class and those completed at home.
Log in to your account at www.edplace.com/teacher where all your students will be displayed on your homepage, organised by year group. Click on the '+' symbol next to the year group of the student whose activities you would like to review, and locate the number showing under the heading 'Completed':
You will then be directed into a full list of activities completed by this student over their entire time using EdPlace:
You can clearly see the date of completion visible (which you can link utilise to see if homework has been completed), plus you can see their scores. If you click on any individual activity, you have the option to 'Review answers' to see exactly what your student inputted and where they were correct or incorrect:
If you click on the number under the heading 'Assigned', you will be able to see all currently assigned activities for this student. If any of these are no longer relevant, you can click on the 'X' next to any to remove them:
If you would like more support on how to assign activities, you can watch a video of this process if you are assigning to an individual student or to a group or class.
If you are planning to utilise EdPlace activities outside of your class time, you may find our Badges useful to motivate your students to learn more independently at home.
Badges and rewards will appear in your students' dashboard on the website and app to remind them what they can earn if they work hard and count down to a goal set by you or their parents:

If you can motivate students to brush up on their skills after-school and at the weekend, or complete benchmarking work in advance during school holidays, then you are able to concentrate on analysing their results and prioritising your teaching time together - just one more way that we hope using EdPlace will make your life as a teacher easier.
