Great question! Do you need help with some subject switcheroo-ing?
If you are utilising a paid educator account that only allows students to access one subject area (English, maths or science), an occasion may arise when you need to edit which subject they can access. Within this subscription plan, it is only possible to allow a student to access one academic subject at a time. This will mean that, although you and your student(s) can browse all subject areas, activities will only be assigned from one subject area (by you, them or automatically by EdPlace).
Great news! If you need to change the subject which your student can access, it's super simple. Just follow these steps...
1) Firstly, log in to your educator account at www.edplace.com/teacher;
2) Click on Manage students in your left-hand menu;
3) Locate the student whose access you wish to change (you will see their current subject access displayed under the Subject heading);
4) On the dropdown under Subject, select the new subject you would like them to be able to access:
It's as simple as that!
Please note, when a student's subject access has been amended, it must remain the same for a minimum of one calendar month to allow recommendations to restart successfully and to enable successful data tracking. For this reason, we strongly advise that subjects are switched with care and not on a regular basis as we will be unable to offer support if errors are made until a month has passed.
If you are an administrator or the account owner, you can review your plan under the 'My subscription' tab to check which plan you are currently on:
If you wish to upgrade your subscription to include all subjects or increase access for more students, please click here for our teacher plans, or click here for our tutor plans.
Hopefully, you now understand how you can simply and easily switch your students' subject access as, and when, this is required. If you have any further questions about managing your student accounts or if you need any further help at all, please contact our friendly Customer Support Team via email at help@edplace.com.
