EdPlace resources are designed to support students throughout their entire academic journey from Year 1 to GCSE which, as you are probably hyper-aware, includes a number of key milestones and exams.
Some kids 'test well', whilst others do not, and we know that exams are one of the major sources of anxiety and stress for both parents, students and educators - don't worry, we're here to support your work with just-right revision resources!
Using EdPlace throughout students' academic journeys will ensure that they have the foundational skills solid and secure which they need to build on for exam readiness. We follow a three-stage process to prepare children for key exams:
We present revision-focused activities in a specific location for you and your students, so that they can be easily identified and used as and when required.
In your educator account on the website, they can be easily found in the 'Browse' menu. There is a specific tab labelled 'Revision' in each year and subject where we have resources, with a toggle between the 'Exam-style questions' and 'Practice papers' lists:
With every student account, they can move between 'Learn' and 'Revise' on our website within each year and subject, depending on what type of activity they are looking for:
On our app, students will need to select 'Browse' then find the subject in the top menu, then their year group, to see the 'Revision' section shown like this:
You will see Revision resources currently available on EdPlace to support the following key milestones:
- Year 6 SATs in English, maths and science (optional)
- 11+ exams in verbal, non-verbal and spatial reasoning, English and maths
- GCSEs in English, maths and science linked to the major exam boards (AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas)
- Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check (MTC)
- Year 1 Phonics Screening Test
Where we offer revision resources tailored to exam board specifications (11+ and GCSE), tutors and students will also be required to choose the correct exam board to make their revision even more useful and relevant.
We are also enhancing our three-stage model shown above with an additional 'Assessment' stage so that tutors and students can really understand how to target their revision and maximise the time available to revise. We are still working on creating assessments for all year groups, subjects and milestones currently, but they are on their way! To see where we currently have assessments available, click on the 'Assessments' tab shown in the views above on our website or apps. We hope this article has helped you to confidently locate revision-focused resources on EdPlace so that we are able to best support your students to succeed at the essential academic milestones in their school learning journey.
