In a nutshell, YES! They absolutely can!
EdPlace is currently being used by over 100,000 students linked to parents, teachers and tutors, and we see over 100,000 activities completed by students every month.
We offer a totally free teacher account for all teachers linked to schools in the UK who are registered with the Department for Education. Our mission is simple; we want to help millions of students, from all walks of life, succeed in their education and beyond, and we’ve already been approved by PiXL (Partners in Excellence) for our effort!
"At our school, teachers are using EdPlace to track progress and set assignments. Every pupil uses EdPlace and this has enabled their learning to move forwards. We thoroughly recommend using EdPlace to support learning in school and at home." Deputy Head, Peter Cunningham |
EdPlace's free teacher account
With the free account, teachers can set unlimited activities for up to 30 students in their class to complete during school hours (9 am to 3 pm). Teachers can assign National-Curriculum-aligned activities (KS1 - GCSE) and track progress all for free. Classroom teachers can also 'gift' unlimited, at-home access for 5 students in their class who they feel would benefit from additional support (e.g. Pupil Premium Grant or Free School Meals students). This can be used independently of any NTP access and they can sign up easily for themselves by visiting: https://www.edplace.com/pricing/teacher/. To learn more about the free teacher account, please click here.
If you are administering assessments manually, you are likely to be sharing some login credentials to the EdPlace website with your NTP tutors and teachers at your partner schools. In this case, we are very happy to extend the opportunity to use other EdPlace activities beyond assessments with NTP students, and also to extend to other students outside the NTP if tutors or schools would like to do so. This will need to agreed in advance with EdPlace and any additional students will be billable.
If you are administering the assessments via the API which grants access to the EdPlace assessments via your own CRM system, this option will not be possible and schools will need to create their own free or paid account via the link above.
Schools and tutors can learn more about EdPlace and how our resources can benefit their students by visiting the 'Educators' section of our Support Site here.
We will be delighted to work with your school and teachers as we continue on our mission to help millions of students!
