Getting the most out of using EdPlace means keeping an eye on how your child is doing - luckily, we make this very easy! You’ll want to know where your child is doing well and where they’re struggling. For more information on reviewing detailed EdPlace data and analytics please click here, otherwise read on to find out more about general, everyday monitoring of progress.
The vast majority of our activities are automatically marked by our system, as they are either correct or incorrect. In these cases, results will show immediately to both yourself and your child.
Firstly, log in to your parent account at www.edplace.com/parent. (You cannot review completed activities when using our iOS and Android apps therefore we recommend using the web-version for the best experience, as this is the only place where you can mark work when this is required.)
Click on the 'Review completed' tab in the left-hand menu of your parent dashboard:
In this view, you can see a full list of all the activities which have been completed by students linked to your parent account. Please note, if you have more than one child on your account, you need to make sure that the correct child's name is showing in the dropdown options in the top, right corner:
This will take you to a list of all their completed worksheets with a score and completion date next to each:
If you click on an individual activity then 'Review answers', you can see the answers submitted by your child, our marking of their work, and an explanation of where they might have gone wrong. Your child can review the same information in their account when they complete an activity or from their completed list, so you may find it to be a beneficial activity to sit with them and review tricky activities together.
If you see a PDF icon (see above next to the assessment), this means that there is a report available which accompanies this activity. Simply click on this icon to download and review a copy of this report. For more help on assessment reports, please click here for further advice.
If you see an activity without a score, a message saying 'Start marking' rather than 'Review answers' or a message like the one shown below, then some of your child's work requires manual marking:
Please click here for more information about why this happens and how to complete it.
