We know that sometimes life throws a curveball and plans can change. If this happens, you may need to amend your child's year group. You will also need to update your child's year group each September, as they embark on a new year at school.
Your child's set year group is important because it will dictate the activities they are automatically assigned (if you have EdPlace Recommendations turned ON) and the activities they are able to see and assign to themselves. For this reason, some students will benefit from working above or below their actual year group, as these activities will be a better fit for their needs.
Luckily, changing your child's year group is quick and easy!
Log in to your parent account on our website at www.edplace.com/parent.
Click on the 'My subscription' option in the left-hand menu on your homepage. You’ll now be presented with your current subscription overview.
Scroll down to the section titled 'Child Accounts', where you will see the username of your linked child(ren) accounts presented. Next, to their package details, the word 'Edit' will appear in blue text:
You'll now be presented with the detail of your child's account.
From here you can update your child's username, password, and year group:
Once you have selected your child's new or edited year group, click 'SAVE'.
If you have EdPlace Recommendations turned ON, our assignment engine will automatically assign your child the starter activities for their new year group, and they will be off learning! If you would like to learn more about our recommendations and how they work, please click here to read about these.
(Please note, if your child still has activities assigned from their previous year group, you will need to delete these from their To Do List. To learn more about how to do this, please click here to read more.)
If you have confirmed any changes and your child's details have not successfully updated or they have not been assigned activities from their new year group, please contact the EdPlace Customer Support Team at help@edplace.com.
